Dr. Dagley is a globally recognised expert in mass spectrometry-based proteomics and is dedicated to advancing biomarker-driven precision medicine. She earned her PhD in 2014 from the University of Melbourne, under the supervision of Prof. Tony Purcell. Since 2021, Laura has been the Head of the WEHI Proteomics Facility, overseeing a state-of-the-art mass spectrometry platform fostering national and international collaborations with a multidisciplinary team of six staff.
Her research career spans cancer, immune disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases, contributing 62 publications, 3200+ citations, and h-index of 28. Her scientific achievements have been recognised with several prestigious awards including the 2017 Ken Mitchelhill Young Investigator Award from the Australasian Proteomics Society (APS), finalist in both the 2016 Bupa Health Foundation Emerging Health Researcher Award and 2017 Women of the Future award.
