Jackie is a third-year PhD Candidate at the University of Sydney researching type 2 diabetes (T2D)-related metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease and the hepatic impacts of dietary supplements. Under the guidance of Associate Professor Melanie White, Professor John O’Sullivan, and Professor Stephen Twigg, he uses a rat model of T2D, pre-clinical imaging, histology, computational pathology with AI/machine learning, multi-omics, immunoenrichment strategies for lysine acetylation, and bioinformatics.
